Melissa was pretty nervous when she pulled up next to me, as it was storming in Williams Bay.  “Just wait 30 more minutes,” I said.  “I can work with an hour until sunset…if the rain stops.”  The rain had stopped, so we booked it to the piers.  Let me tell you, if I could have a gloomy foggy day, every time I shot a session, I’d take it!   We had about 10 minutes on the piers until it down poured again.  The funny thing about Geneva Lake, is when it’s raining on one side, it’s usually crystal clear on the other.

By chance we ended up in Fontana, and it couldn’t have been more spectacular. I’ve always been to this particular spot, but never looking like this!  So, it’s safe to say, I’m pretty happy the storm almost ruined our session.

Complete with a snapping turtle laying eggs, muddy feet, and a beautiful couple, in love, this engagement session was one for the books!  I can’t wait for their snowy, February wedding!
