Lauren & Dan were married on quite possibly the most windy day I’ve ever experienced in Lake Geneva.  Let me tell you – it’s not ideal for the bride, but ideal for me.  Wind gives an extra element of motion and motion is something that is a driving force in my creative process.  I love when that dress and veil flow in the wind, and you’ll hear me get absolutely giddy over it.

I should also say, it doesn’t go flawlessly without having support – Jillian Niemann was on location making sure hair was in place the entire time, and my girl Sonya was there making sure the veil didn’t fly over the bride’s face. It was really a team effort, and I must say was so worth it for those pier shots.

If you’re faced with a windy lake day, just breathe and let me take care of the rest.
